This article explains how to request access to the App Store Connect developer API. Access is requested once, by the Account Holder, after which all members of the developer account will be able to create API access keys to make use of the API.


The following steps are only required if API access has not been requested by the Account Holder yet. If this is the case, you or your client will see the following screen when opening the Keys tab on the Users and Access page.



To request access to the App Store Connect API, the Account Holder will have to perform the following steps:

  1. Login to https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/.
  2. Open the Users and Access section.
  3. Click on the Keys tab at the top of the page.
  4. Click Request Access.
  5. Review and accept the terms.


You're done! Members of the developer team will now be able to create API keys within the developer account.
